Saturday morning cartoons and comic books initially sparked Marco and his older brother Steve's interest in art at a young age. Their grandfather had been an artist/poet, cultivating their early fascination with creating artwork. As novices, they began by drawing characters and scenes inspired by visual entertainment they enjoyed. 

When both brothers later entered the skateboarding industry, their artistic abilities proved invaluable, particularly their background in graphic design for developing board graphics and promotional materials. Marco remains passionate about conceptualizing imaginative creatures and characters through his artwork. Certain creative interests have the ability to continually inspire new works and perspectives throughout individuals' lives and careers.
